Every time I Log on a message appears saying C P U is unworkable or has changed. I press F1 to continue as I do not have enough know how to check anything.
Is this ok?
Thank you.:hello:

Is this when you are booting up your machine or logging into the operating system?0

You will need to go into your computer's BIOS and check the CPU settings.
Watch for the text messages which appear on screen during startup (the ones which say "press F1/F2 to enter setup"), and do just that
You will see all the computers settings.... navigate to the CPU setting and reset them to the defaults.
You usually have to press F10 after you have done so to "save and exit".... but it will tell you on screen the button to save your changes.
It maybe that the small battery on your motherboard is coming to the end of its life, and its forgotton some of the settings. You can easily replace this.0 -
This computer is only 2 months old.
This happens every time I switch on. I am reluctant to try and reset in case I make it worse. Can I just leave it as it is? As it is easy to put in safe mode would this help?0 -
If the machine is just two months old then it is unacceptable that you are having this kind of problem. Have you contacted the retailer at all?0

As it will still be under warranty, I don't recommend you try and fiddle with anything. Has it always done this, or it just recently started doing it? Its most likely that the bios settings have reset, could be due to a dud battery (is the date/time correct?)0
