Google toolbar

Having a tidy up up different programmes and settings.
I only use the spellcheck and autofill on Google Toolbar, although do use Google for searching, which appears to have its own address bar.
In view of the limited use , is it just as well to get rid of Google Toolbar, or as I suspect the alternatives are worse.
Just turfed out Google Notifier from the start ups. And also read on this board recently that autofill is not best practice.
Thanks for reading. Advice welcome.

no to autocomplete, and firefox has a spellcheck addon (amongst many other fab and funky addons)

I consider any search toolbar to be an invasion of privacy at best, and an invitation to spyware/virii at worst.

(I had to remove 64 virii and about 600 spyware programs from a work PC that they'd loaded a search toolbar onto)

If you don't use it why are you looking for a replacement?

dump IE, use Firefox - it's by far the most secure and glitch-free
