Premium Bonds - Any Good?

Hi, Im new to MoneySavingExpert and this is my first post - so hello to you all!

Well, I have taken the plunge and invested the minimum amount in my first premium bond - and just really wandering what experiences people have had with them?

Also, I signed up online a week ago today and they have taken the money but I havn't yet recieved the form that I need to sign and post back - are they usually this slow, or should I be concerned? (Yes, I am an impatient person!)

So please, let me know your experiences.

I recently bought premium bonds online & it took about 2 weeks for the form to come through to sign, then about 3 weeks before I got the confirmation of the bonds. I'm still waiting for the letter to tell me I've had a win, but bet that's the one I'll have to wait the longest for.

Thanks also to cattie for your post, I will obviously have to wait a bit longer for the form to come through to sign - I hope u get the letter you are waiting for soon!!!
