The bloody school has just rang Johanne (2nd on the emergency numbers list) to tell her that DD needs picking up at the normal time  They must have rang here while I was on the phone to our mum so I rang them back - the trip has been cancelled as there is something wrong with the bus so the kids need picking up at hometime instead of 4pm  There's going to be alot of disappointed kids around here today!!

Lil me - its Yorkshire, a big plant is striking for a month in Scotland so people in Scotland and Yorkshire are 'panic buying' according to news, it drives me mad!!! But I have almost no diesel left and last time I ended up being stuck in a queue here for an hour to be allowed £10 worth. So yes I'm adding to the panic buying but they reckon the Yorkshire shortage will come from surrounding areas ie mine

Its the only plant in Scotland I think. I think thats why the problem is so bad because that refinery services the whole of Scotland and a large chunk of the North of England. We only have one petrol station in my town and it was out of petrol this morning, still had deisel. It was more pricey than usual 110 for deisel and 108 for petrol

    Morning all

Two loads of washing on the line. I normally strip my bed on Wednesday but the weatherman said today would be the best day of the week, sunny and warm. He lied.

Anyway, I've vacuumed right through downstairs (especially kitchen after haircuts this morning) and I vacuumed the stairs.

Prepped stuff for dinner then took the dog out for a walk and I've just finished watching Corrie from last night.

Strike is for two days but management say it will take approx one month to close down then restart the plant.

Last week turned into a non-housework week really. Had some bad news on Tuesday morning, second death in the family within 3 days, and then planning commenced for a long train trip to the funeral which was yesterday. This morning I am really tired from the trip, but I have lots of things that need doing. To cap it all I am going to see Bjork in concert tonight, which of course is something nice but do I have the energy?!

Hope you are all doing well, and sorry I dropped out so soon after rejoining you last week.
