I think that legally to go on the road you have to be 17.
There are some driving schools that teach under 17's on off-road places, but they are not usually the branded ones like AA or BSM. They are usually local driving schools. Try googling it or looking in yellow pages.
Good luck

You need to be 17 to go on the road. Up in Harold Wood, Essex there is a popular off road facility with junctions, lights, roundabouts etc.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

You could take a CBT course now which will show you how the road looks from a motorcyclists viewpoint0

Come and live on the Isle of Man. You can learn to drive and pass your full test at 16! You can drive on the IOM but need to be 17 to drive in UK. Beware if you holiday here, most 16 year olds with cars are great but some are lacking in road manners.0

I tried to apply for my provisional today as I'm 17 in 2 months time. But half way through application it said something like as you are under 17 this licence will only be for learning to drive a moped??? As I want to learn to drive a car I terminated the application. So it seems that you cannot apply for your provisional for a car any earlier than your 17th birthday?!
If I'm wrong please correct me?0 -

I think it will automatically become valid as a provisional for cars on your 17th birthday.0
