They are heavy on petrol, no diesel was available for some reason in this country. Be careful as a lot of people advertise a Previa then when you get there its a Lucdia, an imported version, this puts up the insurance costs. The advantages are that it will be diesel, although still only expect 28MPG on a run, they are better fitted out inside and most will be automatic, a lot will also be four wheel drive. They not cheap compared to an ordinary car of the same age, but the imports are cheaper that the UK ones.
So low MPG and higher insurance for the imported diesel, not really a money savers car, but save else where to pay for it.
The best way to find out about cars is do do a free price check at https://www.parkers.co.uk and then click the link to get a free model check, this tells you all about them, what to look out for, insurance costs, MPG, version history etc. Also look on https://www.autotrader.co.uk to see how much they are going for across the country, not just around you.
Hope this helps.0 -
There is no problem if it is a RHD European spec Toyota - a lot were imported from Holland and Belgium and are usually identical to UK spec cars. The problem comes if it is a 'grey import' i.e. RHD usually fom Japan(and to their spec) many Toyota garages will not touch them and some parts(not all) can be difficult to obtain.0

As we have four daughters, this is the first car that has felt roomy and comfortable and safe."This site is addictive!"
