While im unable to answer your question due to fact that if i want to open a savings account i do so without any thought to what concerns you, just in case you are not aware u might be interested to know that if u open the PO Instant Saver via Quidco or Cashback Kings + other Cashback Sites a 15.50 Cashback is offered for doing so.

I would imagine they'd run an anti-money laundering credit check on you if you applied which wouldn't usually count against you for credit applications (although it's up to individual companies to decide what they think is relevant to their application process).

    They do that check.

Also get the cashback, £15.50 is quite a bit. I'm loosing 0.5% interest but gaining £15.50 on my £500 (making me £13 up)

Remember 1.5% is a bonus and will leave in a years time making this only a 4.5% account which is poor.

ok, they do check, but is that consider as ID check? or credit check? if is ID check, will that effect credit scoring just because they do the search? i know they don't left visible footprint on report. thanks

I don't know but i think you answered yourself.

If it isn't visible it wont affect your report.
