    Payless have you been drinking?

All it needs is I am a broker, IFA or whatever!

Why would you put your FSA number on it. Next thing you know we will be giving IDD's out before replying to a thread. This is a public forum for opinions and very, I stress VERY general advice.

Dan, you obviously was not party to the very lengthy discussions 2/3 yrs ago - when signatures were discussed - not going there again! the comment about FSA no was more of a off the cuff , the bit about- if you post as abroker you musr declare it , was the point I was making

No I was not party to them, I imagine it was painful.

I dont get the point of it, to be honest we have non brokers that know what they are talking about! Should they state that?

Anyway, lets not start this one as I am not that worried about it!

Also, the sig is now too long.

I rember the arguments, which is why Martin came up with the standard sig, however you do have achoice if you want to use it. I chose not to use it as and just post to help, also gives me a bump up with google.

    but site code says
Mortgage Advisers who choose not to use the signature should not indicate they are brokers in any other way within their posts.

    yes you have a choice

Play the game- by the rules OR Don't play

I've added the signature, but to be honest in my previous posts I hadn't stated I was a broker, and hadn't touted for business (got enough to fill my days, at the minute, and if it wasn't for pesky HSBC & lenders doing direct only deals would have more!!)

I think the only posts I'd indicated I was a broker on were the ones which followed someone asking if I was a broker!!

Only thing is I can't get the signature to show in the standard format as keeps reporting it as too many lines!! Any help in fitting in with the crowd, is greatly appreciated!
  • Wouldn't it be funny if we found that all of the posters on the forum were Brokers and nobody was a concerned consumer? :p
I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.

Poppy is lovely. Leave her alone :)
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
