2PCs 1 Monitor

Can anyone reccomend a switch or something that will allow me to connect 2 pcs to one monitor. I'd rather have a manual switch so I can choose which of the PCs I like to view. Some of the time both will be on but I will only need to be viewing one or the other. I can't see me needing to view them side to side.
I've seen this one? Would it work?

What model monitor do you have? Most monitors have 2 inputs on them and you can just switch with a button on the screen itself.0

Most modern moniters have a DVI port and VGA port, if you have 2 computers using DVI or using VGA you can buy a converter that converts it.0

Any KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch will do the job, just make sure it has compatible ports for your mouse/keyboard. Older ones are PS/2, newer support USB.
The simple box you've suggest will work, but you'll likely see image degredation using such a device. Better to use an electronic KVM, like those from Belkin, but they'll be more expensive.0
