I was having trouble uninstalling AOL and so I paid $39 for Perfect Uninstall but I still do not seem to be able to get rid of it. Any tips?

No need to pay for anything! Use this here.
As previously mentioned here

I have tried that but it does not show AOL so cannot get rid of it. I did a search for other uninstallers and got the one I mentioned but that has not got rid of it either although you can highlight AOL in that.0 -

just out of interest, is AOL interfering with anything else on your PC, like your current internet connection? How much of it have you managed to remove?
If there are no signs of it running, you may just have an empty AOL folder in Windows Explorer.. I'd just delete the folder anyway, then reboot and see if any error messages appeared - if none, all well and good, if any, then I'd run a registry cleaner to remove old references, or run 'msconfig' (Start > 'Run..') and uncheck any startup boxes that referenced AOL files mentioned in the error messages.IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer

Well I think it has gone! All the Icons are gone and when I try and launch it from the list of programmes the only thing it can find is the messenger. I will get rid of that as well.0

I was not having problems with it it is just that I am switching over to BT next week and did not want/need the software but it is so hard to get rid of it.0 -
