window locks on metal windows

hello
does anyone know how to fit locks to a metal double glazed window, i tried a company who were suposed to give me quotes but it never arrived. I've looked in B&Q and all the replacement handles are for wooden windows. What i really want to be able to do is lock the window open so that i can get air flow, but at the moment it's either open or closed and there's been some burglaries round here recently so i've started keeping it locked. It's usually always open all summer and i know i won't be able to do that this year if summer actually ever arrives.
thanks for your help

It can be done, but its not a DIY job. There is a local company to me who specialise in repairs to DG windows and doors. They might be worth a call. Alternatively, a good locksmiths / security shop couild advise.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
