Are My Savings Safe With Kaupthing Edge Bank

If I were to invest in the Icelandic bank Kaupthing Edge that Martin speaks of, who now operate here in the UK, being Icelandic would my savings still be safe?
By holding my savings in their UK subsidiary, Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander do my savings fall into the category of “protected up to £35k per financial institution”?
