I am doing a boot fair this weekend and just looking for the cheapest pasting table you can buy.
I am thinking of B&Q is that the cheapest?
Thanks

If you have am old door use thatYou can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0

I bought one from Wickes a couple of months ago for £7.99.
Think you'll find that most places sell them within the £8 to £10 price range. So really it comes down to which store is most local to you....it's not worth driving miles to 'save' a couple of quid.0 -
Problem with pasting tables is that you a) they aren't that solid, b) not really that practical c) the resin comes out of the wood if you leave the glue on it too long (mind I wrap black bin liners all over when wallpapering and put the lot in the bin when I am done).....and d) you have to store it when you are done.
As Skint1 comments, if you have a flat door, take it off it's hinges and use that instead alternatively, I have found that using my kitchen table with a protective plastic cover works as well. Worktops work fine too if you are lucky enough to have a long one.0 -
Years and years ago I bought a plastic-covered, pasting table ("Pastemate") in B&Q for £35. It's been used dozens of times, and is still in excellent condition, and will shortly be used again. Never gets soggy because all the paste can be wiped off.
Never saw those tables in any shops again but if you can still buy them, I'd recommend them. They aren't cheapest for a one-off job, but clearly cheapest over time.0
