It's always been 2 months notice for me.
However I would just want to get the hell out of there so would be delighted to escape a month early!0 -
When was the last agreement/AST signed?
I am wondering if he should have adhered to the requirements of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme or if that is in somehow not required due to dates etc.0 -

We last signed the AST in December 2004 so it was not required.0 -

I don't want to jinx anything but we will be out of here in less than a month as we will hopefully be moving into our own home then and the days of having to put up the likes of bad landlords are over0 -
Just an update and even more reason why I hate renting especially from tight fisted individuals. Tried to use the shower tonight to find that he has now disconnected the shower. Can he do this. I know we only have a couple of weeks left but when you have kids who play sport and need to wash hair on a daily basis doing in the bath in a pain in the rear. He has sort of retiled some areas around the bath but turning off the shower really bugs me!0

Well by law a water company isn't allowed to disconnect your water supply, even if you don't pay your bill so I'll be absolutely amazed if he is able to. Besides you're the one paying for water.
I'd be tempted to smash his face in with a plumbers wrench. Sometimes violence does solve things.0 -

Whilst agreeing with you completely I thought that that was somewhat harsh, but then I saw your username so it all makes perfect sense now! :rotfl:

I think turning off the water is a criminal act (harassment) so I'd start by calling the police - not 999 of course.0
