Any recommendations for a grout to use in the bathroom tiles?
One that stays white the longest please!
Thankyou,

Acrylic Grout is the stuff to go for, its expensive (about £10 for a litre tub) and you really ought to clean off as you go (its sets very quickly) I used it in my walk in shower and even if I leave it till the tiles are starting to turn black the grout lines stay pristine. IIRC it was Unifix Grout I used.
Correction - It is made by Unibond and called "Waterproof Acrylic Grout"The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0 -
There are a few different versions available that contain fungicides etc, to help prevent mildew and other nasty discolouring. There are a few options by Unibond especially, but they are one of the pricier brands.
Even so, most of the packaging states that the walls should be "wiped clean regularly with a mild disinfectant" in order to keep the grout looking pristine.
Or, if you're using coloured tiles, you may wish to go for a coloured grout. This can either be purchased ready made (again Unibond make them), or you can simply add a little wall paint into your white grout to make your own shades. One advantage of coloured grout is that you're less likely to notice any discolouration such as mildew.0 -

When I get out of the shower, after I've dryed off. I use the same towel to give the cubicle a quick rub over to remove excess water.
So far after 6 years...Theres no discolouring.

re Unibond grout. Just had our bathroom done and plumber advised us to get a particular grout from B&Q, but unfortunately I cant remeber the name. It is stored NEXT to the Unibond grout and is a TRADE version of exactly the same as Uibond. & that is because it is made by Unibond for traders. It is less than half the price of unibond, for exactly the same product, just in a different tub.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

but what is the name of this product???0

Trade products are generally all cheaper than the big flashy tubs marked up for the DIY.
It's all the same stuff really...except one's cheaper than the other.
You also find that trade grouts will come in bags and will have to be mixed up by the user. DIY stuff is ready mixed.
Any grout will discolour if you leave surplus water on the tiles to dry itself.
