Hmmm. I'd have to say smile (https://www.smile.co.uk) but it comes nowhere NEAR clearing a cheque in 3 days. 4 is standard, sometime 5 working days if it's paid into the account via the Post Office. Their customer service is excellent - probably only surpassed by First Direct (https://www.firstdirect.co.uk) I'd rave on about them for long enough to anyone that was interested (sad, I know) but they meet all of your requirements with the exception of the cheque clearance.

FD appear to clear cheques in three days (it appears) but have a look at these T&C's for more details.

Not sure if I know of a bank/BS that will clear in the timescale you are looking at but I stand to be corrected if one exists. I know that cahoot makes funds available on the 4th working day after it's received by them but my experience of them lately has been horrific and I would definitely NOT recommend them for a current account. They'd probably open a Personal Loan for you instead...

Are you kidding? Opened account with them in Feb and now in process of closing same. Bad service, ridiculous charges and false promises!
