Boiler Repair - need advice!
Any boiler repair buddies out there? I have a questions about mine, and I don't know how to get impartial advice.
My 3 1/2 year old Baxi 100HE boiler started not igniting and dripping water about 2 months ago. I was advised that I could either have a new boiler for £1800, or have it repaired for £700. As I have a wedding to fund next year, and as the boiler's not very old, I went for the repair.
The Heat Exchanger, Ignition PCB and Main PCB (on which the fuse had gone) have been replaced at a cost of £700 including labour. It worked fine for 15 minutes, but now we are back to square one, with exactly the same symptoms as before. The engineer went before the 15 minutes were up, and now I cannot get anyone in again for a week.
Does anyone know what is happening to the boiler?!
