dell outlet - misleading?

was guna go for a vostro after advice on this forum but then thought i'd have a look at the outlet store. saw a laptop with better spec etc at a reasonable price & cheaper - thats until i saw it was ex vat! ok i thought not that bad cos dell are promoting free del & £55 off every outlet purchase. well i picked a laptop went thru the checkout process but no £55 reduction happened. it def says it will be applied once you go thru checkout. i contacted dell support by their chat line & was advised that the £55 saving was already applied! well ok if thats the case then it aint no cheaper than a 'new' laptop, but i feel mislead, as it def says it will be applied in the checkout process & not already applied! i told the chat host & he said to ring dell which is again costing on 0870. has this happened to anyone else or can anyone advise what to do if i ring dell. do i have a case of misleading info? then might still get the ex reduction...........cheeky i know!

There are a pile of numbers for dell listed on saynoto0870.com so find the right one and phone them.

If it said it'd be applied at the checkout, and it was already applied before the checkout it's misleading.
