Google: search uk and spelling alternatives

Has Google search changed or am I doing something wrong? Following from a previous thread I can't get 'pages from the uk' to stick,it always goes back to overall search. I use google.co.uk and have a search uk toolbar button but it makes no difference, I have to use uk as a search term which rather defeats the object. I'm sure it used to work.

The other thing is that I don't get any spelling alternatives suggestions if I misspell something which I always found a really helpful feature. I can't find any option in preferences to bring this back, is it the same for everyone?

I use Firefox but have tried this in IE and it's the same. It's becoming very annoying. Is it the same for everyone or is there something I need to reset?

Clear your private data? Still works on google.co.uk for me? The spelling thing is a firefox addon (i think - or maybe just an option) just go to the firefox home page and do a quick search

I hate seeing all those wretched $ signs on everything.

As it was me who started the google Q, I'm please others are feeling as i do. There doesn't appear to be a quick fix here, so I will go and see if I can find a solution elsewhere. watch this space.

I'm back again. The problem has been resolved and it's dead easy (if you know how). If you take a look at my post Google Q, you will see a guy called Tony has the answer to our mutual problem and its worked for me. Basically this is it:-

don't bother with the toolbar, it'll just low things down, go here and look down the page, click on
" Google UK - pages from the UK (google.co.uk) by Mycroft Project" (link won't work from here)
