Curious about this

I am slow stoozing on a card and keep getting blank cheques from the CCC in the post.
I was about to rip up and chuck them in the bin and then wondered about the following:
Would places that don't accept credit cards without a fee ( car dealers springs to mind) accept these cheques for free?
Are they worth keeping at all? Any reasons people can think why I should keep them?

I wouldn't bother, unless its a super offer, some of the ones I get are ridiculous and will charge you a cash handling fee etc. I just had one from Barclaycard that promised to increase my limit by the amount I use from the cheque, upto the £3000, but there was a fee (not sure what).

In terms of where you can use them, if they are an actual cheque and not a special balance transfer only one then yes you can use them anywhere that would accept a cheque, like a garage, but beware of the cash handling fee and subsequent interest.

Virgin cheques act as a Super balance transfer dont they!!

Be very careful.
Credit card cheques do NOT offer the same protection as using the card, under section 75 of the CCA.
