Problems Getting Into Website

My previous problem with getting into longer threads resolved - dont know how.

Now I have an even worse one - I cant get into the website in the first place. I am only able to type this because I have found a distinctly convoluted "all round the houses" bit of lateral thinking to manage to get in. With this - I can see the website is still functioning as normally - but I cant gain access as normal. I dont know if this is to do with MSE or my supplier (Virgin).

I click where MSE is in my favourites as per normal and up comes the MSE heading in banner right at top of webpage and then it just waits and waits and waits - and never ever lets me in in the normal way. I can access all other websites as per normal - its just this one I cant get without doing the convoluted route via my "history" I have worked out.

I may not be able to get in at all next time I try - even via my convoluted route - as first I had that problem about not being able to even see long threads (including my own) and now this.

So - I dont know if this is an MSE problem (which is what it looks like on the face of it - as I can access everything else as per normal) or to do with me in some way.

Anyone with an answer please send me a P.M. - which I will be able to view on my normal email address.

Thanks.

EDIT: Just left the Forum Index page "open" on my p.c. and nipped off to do various bits and bobs. When I reappeared and tried to click a Board open - it wouldnt. I couldnt even view other peoples threads (never mind making a post) - despite taking the precaution of "leaving that page open".

I've just had to go my "back roads" entry method again to get in. Rest of the Internet still accessible as per normal - so this is really puzzling me.

Anyone else having the same problems?

    I would,

Remove this websites favourite entry (right click delete) then flush the dns resolver cache, Start, Run then type cmd and hit ok, then type ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter and wait until resolver cache has been flushed then exit command prompt.

Then download ccleaner from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ and when installing untick install any toolbars, when installed run cleaner and tick box and click yes to deleting data and wait until done.

Then reset the tcip/ip stack, start, run, type netsh int ip resed resetlog.txt then click ok and wait for a mo, then after that unplug modem power cord for 2mins then plug back in and see what happens.

Ive noticed a few "hiccups" on MSE today, although not as major, my hicks generally revolve around clicking the refresh button, and it doesnt refresh, I find myself going back to the start of a thread and forwarding myself to the end in order to get it refreshed. I think MSE is having a couple of hiccups, but nothing serious, and knowing MSE, it wont be long before these hiccups are cured.
