might sound strange but that's what usually happens when there's already a CD in there.. is there a chance theres a 'blank' in there to stop dust getting in?0

Yeah, and I've seen a couple of cheaper head units which have a locking mechanism on the underside to stop the laser assembly from being damaged in transit from the factory, it doesn't have anything like that does it?0

no cd in so cant be that? just wont take the cd's? really strange as radio works?0 -
I have just fitted a car cd player over the weekend in the mother in laws car and that had 2 transportation retaining screws on the top to stop the laser getting damaged.
Take a look in the manual just incase it has them.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
