Abbey to launch 9.1% Super Saver account

Options
Abbey has exclusively revealed to The Telegraph the launch of a new Super Saver account offering 9.1 per cent gross.

The account will open on Monday (21st April) and the rate is fixed for one year.

However, in order to benefit from the market-leading rate, savers must put an equal amount or more into any Abbey investment product.
For example, you would have to place an equal amount in an Abbey individual savings account (Isa) or bond.

I assume they mean you have to put it into the investment products within their ISA rather than the cash ISAs. In which case, it's probably another awful product when you look at it in conjunction with the guaranteed equity bond it's bound to be... :(

So you get a savings account with a decent rate for half the money but have to put half in a really rubbish investment product that will actually cost you more than the higher rate of interest received on the savings half over the normal market rate.

AVOID THIS RUBBISH ABBEY PRODUCT MATCH.
