I've read various reports on successful refunds for Oasis tickets bought with credit cards. My query is whether similar protection will be offered to Halifax visa debit card holders, as is my case.

I thought you had bought tickets for the band Oasis, and I hadn't realised they were starting another tour... made me check Ticketmaster! Any how, rumour is the new album will be released in August!
