Hi everyone I am looking for a dictionary to check my French spelling AND grammar on my G4 Mac OSX10.4.11
I don't mean a translation utility.
Anyone any experience or recommendations?

Try asking on the forum at https://www.macuser.co.uk someone will be able to offer more specific advice.
I don't use foreign languages on the Mac, but there are a multitude of tools, depending on what application you are using.0 -
There are a couple of ways:
From System Preferences choose International>Languages>Edit. Drag French to the top (this will apply French to all Input Menus etc.
The easier way, assuming you're using MS Office, is to run the Value Pack Installer from the Install CD and select French from the Proofing Tools menu.
Voila
