Car insurance increase?

Should I expect a huge rise in my car insurance next year after needing to claim on present insurance policy after an accident??

Never had an accident before, so am unsure how it affects new insurance quotes.

I didn't have my no claims protected.

You could try getting some quotes now using the information that will be used at next renewal.
  • From initial quotes, my insurance has gone up a couple of hundred pounds unfortunatly :(

My partner's insurance company doubled her premium after a very minor bump. Shopped around and got it cheaper elsewhere (cheaper as in cheaper than she had it before the accident), so it doesnt necessarily have to, but it will certainly make it more difficult.
  • Well my insurance isn't due till Nov 08, so hopefully it'll be a bit cheaper than the qoutes I got online yesterday.
