Boudoir / For Your Eyes Only type photo shoots

Options
I know these are becoming more and more popular as pressies for the Groom but they can be very expensive

But I've come across this deal....

http://www.photographsbycamille.co.uk/section177244.html

£100 for an hours session with female photographer, make up artist included in luxury West London studio. PLUS 5 prints and all your pics on disk to take away.

PLUS £25 off if you pay in full up front. Her pics look amazing too.

Sounds like a good deal to me!

It all works out good in the end.
If it's not good, it's not the end!

To be honest I don't think they're that great. They look a bit amateur to me, could you find any testimonials on there? I couldn't.

You'd be better off getting a friend to take them.

I was just about to post the same thing myself... But didn't wanna be a spoilsport... Maybe it's just that I have different tastes but I wouldn't pay £75 or £100 to get them to take my picture... sorry...

  • Just thought it might save someone a lot of money - these types of photoshoots are normally £500+

I certainly didn't think they looked amateurish! No way could any of my friends take pics like this LOL!

It all works out good in the end.

  • Someone's recently discovered the posterize 'feature' in photoshop I see...

They look cheap, I agree that you'd be better off getting a friend to do them.

Quality photography IS generally expensive. If you're looking to do it on the cheap - you'd be better off saving your pennies and taking pics yourself.

If you do want to get a friend to take pictures I'd recommend signing up to a forum like this: http://opensourcephoto.net/forum/ and searching for 'boudoir' - browse some of the pics and get a sense of what poses work for looking 'sexy' rather than 'amateur !!!!!! with bad lighting'.

Oh and before taking the pics, share a bottle of wine (or 3!) with your friend and just have a giggle.

They look a bit like shots that get passed around chat rooms... bit too seedy for my liking!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I am actually using this photographer for my wedding and having seen her full portfolio of wedding pics and met her, I would thoroughly recommend her.

Mookie can in that case ask that you recommend her to update her website? Because if her pictures are good then she is doing herself no favours with those "glamour" style bouduir pics on there...
My sister is a model and used to work for large companies like United Colours od Beneton and she's moved on to burlesque style pics and she'd be horrified if she was presented with pictures like that...
So if she can do better tell her that she really needs to update her site :)

Tine - its a matter of personal taste. Just because you dont lke them doesn't mean they aren't appealing to others. That's her work and if you don't like it then don't book her! But you shouldn't ask her to change her pics just because you don't like them :p

It all works out good in the end.
