30K Service for a Skoda Fabia VRS?

Hi Everyone

My partner has just bought a Skoda Fabia VRS, but it will need a 30k service done. Does anyone know how much it will approx. cost?

It depends on a lot of things. There's not really any such thing as a 30k service.

It needs an annual inspection every 12 months or 20,000 miles (whichever is soonest) and an engine oil change every 12 months or 10,000 miles (whichever is soonest. It also needs a brake fluid change every 2 years.

So if it does under 10,000 miles a year, it needs an annual inspection each year and a brake fluid change every other year; if it does around 20,000 miles a year, it needs the same as above plus an oil change every 6 months; if it does somewhere in between it's a judgement call as to whether you do annual inspections every 9 months (say) or pay for annual inspections annually and oil changes six-monthly even though they aren't strictly due.

I think you need to tell me how old the car is, when the last service was done, and what was done - and when the last brake fluid change was done.

You say a 30k service, is the car due for its 3rd service - for example, is it now 3 years old?

What is the mileage on the vehicle? Is it still under warranty?

Its hard to work out the cost - so many vehicles are on different schedules.
Alot of Fords have a major service every three years. A 30k service on a Toyota is an intermediate (small) one.

Think you need to find out the service history and find an independent garage that will service it as necessary - unless it is under warranty still, and needs to be serviced to manufacturers requirements.

A bit more information regarding the car would help.
