Recent bank charges

Options
I recently had some charges come out for a direct debit that came out went i wasn't expecting it and took me overdrwan. My bank RBS want to charge me £28 for the unauthorised overdraft and then £30 on top of that for an "unpaid item referral". Another direct debit came out sortly afterwards that i would have been able to afford had the initial one i wasn't expecting not come out, and they want to charge me a further £30 for this. so because of one unexpected direct debit, they want to charge me a total of £88! Do you think this is worth argueing with this court case being in progress or should i just leave it?
Cheers, Simon
