You don't have the 'right' to do as you wish.
They might play ball for a couple of months until they review your account and then your DD will increase drastically.
What you suggest is bad practice for them and you; and £20 monthly is very low anyway.0 -
Hi ALL,
have just changed my gas supplier, and to reduce my bill have opted for mnthly DD.......can i ring them and make it £10, and make up the difference when bill is issued, is it negotiable?

I doubt it but worth a try OP
My logic for doubting it is if they let you do that, what point is there in them offering a DD discount if they potentially end up having to chase money?
