£10K to squirrel away

Looking to put into a savings account. Have already maxed out my mini cash ISA so that's not an option. Wouldn't need cash right away so not too bothered if it was a notice account or not.

Any ideas people.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

Steve

Well, there are about 5000 places it could go. Any chance of narrowing down what you actually want with the money. Otherwise you could get suggestions ranging from a bulding society accounts, index linked gilts, property funds, stockmarket, overseas equities etc. All with varying degrees of investment risk.

I'd be quite happy with something safe and secure. The plan is i'd be using the money for a deposit on a house in the next 6 - 12 months.
