I've just installed Firefox as an additional browser to OE, and find that the Quick Reply box at the foot of threads cannot be closed while in this mode, whereas on OE it could be. I would like to close it as it means there is further to scroll down to get to the drop-down boards menu.

Mine does not have that facility in Firefox either, have you also noticed,(or is it just me?), that the reply boxes are grey in Firefox, but white in I EDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

If you really want to get rid of it you can use the AdBlock Plus and Element Hiding Helper to do it.
