I feel better already.. I am about to appear really thick though..how do you do this SOA thingy..I am quite bright normally honest!!
There is a link at the the top of the DFW board. You put all your details in save it and it should be ableto be posted. There is also a link for snowball calculator, which is good for debt free date.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Bob is lovely! Hello bob!
I have just been searching through some threads and come across this...
http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
Not sure how good it is as haven't used it before...I need to do one again really so should give it a go myself!
Basically an SOA is where you list all of your incomings and outgoings, all bills, DD, loans, cards etc and then peeps on here try and advise where to cut back...it is best to list everything though as there is nowt worse than adding everything up and then finding that you have forgotten something! As I have done many a time! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Also just wanted to say that when I first properly realised what kind of a mess I was in, I felt soooo ill....really bad. I came on here and spoke to everyone who assured me that it was completely normal! So if you start to feel very overwhelmed...don't worry...we are all here for you! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

I'm sure you'll get something full time eventually, and just remember that every september (for the next 5 years at least) you get a nice, big, fat pay rise. You'll be on over 30K in less than 6 years, assuming you aren't in or near london, and don't take any extra responsibility

Oh and the job gets easier and easier (no i know its still really hard), ask my missis

Hi Emma,
I can't comment on your SOA cos I am still new to all this and rubbish with money! but I just wanted to say hello, I am a history teacher too and I used to do supply - it wasn't bad as jobs go, but a bit unrealiable at times so I see the whole cover assistant thing. annoying tho.
Any how, I thought i say hi you are not alone ( as you can see from the replies) and well that's it really!!
honest some one who makes sense will be here soon
take care
xxNevertheless she persisted.0
