This morning I'm being offered Internet Explorer 7. This is rather odd, as it's been installed on here for several months
Maybe it's a revised version or contains fixes, but it doesn't say that, and the download size is 14.7MB, which seems like the whole thing, and the blurb seems directed at people with IE6.
Is anyone else getting this happening?

This free upgrade to Internet Explorer customers offers improvements such as enhanced security, a cleaner look, and features to make everyday tasks such as printing and searching the web easier. This upgrade preserves your current home page, search settings, favorites, and compatible toolbars, and can be uninstalled if you decide to do so.
Is anyone else getting this happening?

It was patched recently, but that sounds like it wants you to download the latest version again. Probably hasn't recognised that it's installed.0
