Wanted: Advice on new shower

We are going to completely redo out bathroom as the mould has taken over and its a bit dated.

We want to put in Thermostatic Shower as the current tap mixer is a bit naff. We have a combi boiler and our water pressure is low-ish (depends on the time of day). Our plumber also recommended an Exposed Valve shower as the wall is brick and it would be cheaper and easier to fit/maintain than a fully hidden valve.

We want to put in a decent shower and have been looking at these:

We like the style of this one, but its unbranded and only 12 months guarantee:

We like the name (Grohe) and 5 year guarantee of this one:

Basically we prefer the first non-branded shower and are wondering if it makes more sense to spend the extra money to get a branded shower?

Any recommendations/advice on these or others would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Just had a thought... Its the Shower head and rail we like on the first one.

So is it possible to just buy the Grohe valve and then fit the unbranded Shower head and rail???

You can buy thermostatic shower valves seperately but not sure on that particular Grohe model.

Yes you can get the valve separately, been checking and it would cost about £70 more to do them separately.

Still be interested in peoples opinions of the various shower manufacturers.

Good afternoon: Yes... my OH recommends them to customers. Go to www.mirashowers.co.uk to see the complete range. He also highly rates Ideal Trevi and Aqualisa.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have heard a few recommendations now for mira so will look at them more closely. They also have a 5 yr guarantee which is good.

I will also have a quick look at Trevi.

I have had a bad experience with Aqualisa so won't go near them again.
