Gym gripes

Morning all - just wondering if I'd be right to complain about the below?
Firstly, there are a lot of men in my gym who 'save' their getting up procedure until they're at the gym - so they don't shower (fair enough as they're going to be working out although it's still unpleasant being able to smell them) but even worse, they shave, wash their faces, brush their teeth etc all at the sinks in the changing room toilets... I find this odd, unpleasant and disgusting if I happen to be the one trying to wash my hands in a sink that someone's not bothered to wash their face hair off!
Secondly, I went to the gym on Saturday in "family time" (big mistake!) and was surprised (and a little annoyed) that dads were letting their kids change anywhere in the changing rooms and not using the private cubicles. I don't have a problem with this per se, although due to increased concern over paedophiles etc, it really bugs me that I have to watch where I'm looking (and essentially stare at my feet) when I'm changing as one accidental glance in the wrong direction could get me beaten up! It makes for a really uncomfortable atmosphere anyway when there are kids everywhere....
Would I be unreasonable to mention these issues to the gym? I pay enough to go there and it's a nice gym so it'd be nice to keep it that way....

I would say it is fair tocomplain about hair being left in the sink and what not, I don't see anything wrong with actually shaving or tooth brushing in the club itself!
As to increased concern over paedophiles, I think it is down to the parents. And the increased concern is, in my opinion, due to the media focus on them. There is not a particularly greater problem than there has ever been with paedophiles at the moment, just people are made more aware of it. Anyway, my point is, that the fear of paedophiles should not stop you doing anything normally that you would do.
Also be careful voicing your concerns about looking at young boys in the gym changing rooms - you might get banned from the gym or something if done in the wrong way!0 -

I thought this - it's strange how careful one has to be talking about these subjects - similar to discussing race really, even my bangladeshi friends don't know what the PC phrases are nowadays!0 -
In my gym (JJB) men and women were not allowed to shave in the showers or changing areas and there are notices up to that effect.
I think it might be worth having a word, they may or may not take any notice but if enough people do, then something might be done.£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450 -
If people want to brush their teeth / shave at the gym, more power to them. I wouldn't because I think it's fowl with everyone's pubes all over.
A changing room is just that. A room to change in. The cubicles are for people who don't want to be naked in front of others. But people walk around the changing rooms with their bits out all the time. Why should they HAVE to use changing cubicles? There are no more pedophiles then there were 20 to 30 years ago, the news just focuses on it a hell of a lot more. If you feel uncomfortable, maybe you should change in the cubicles.0
