urgent advice about paypal will i be charged

Options
I have always bought any items i have purchased from ebay by using the money in my paypal account from items i have sold. Recently i bid on some items when i had no money in my paypal account i asked on this forum how i pay when i have no money in my account as i wasnt sure if i had to transfer the money from my bank account or if it would automatically be taken out. I was advised that it would be taken out and i wouldnt have to transfer from my account.
Please help as i have bought several items since then and paid, just gone to pay for an item tonight and it says i have a negative something and will not let me sign into paypal. I am really worried i am going to be hit with all sorts of charges now which i cannot afford i am a single mum and money is soooo tight as it is please someone shed some light as i am now really worried.

AS above, if you can't log into paypal then you might have a hacker..phone paypal immediately and ask them for help. If you have bene hacked then go to the techie board on MSE and ask them how to sort out your online protection, and also familiarise yourself with phishing mails in case you responded to one of those.

Depending on how your account was set up payments should come from your nominated funding source, so if you set up bank funding payments will come from your bank, and if it was from a credit card, your payments would have come from there.

One other hting that has occured to me, if your funding was out of date, or if you had set it up wrongly then it would have failed and paypal may have limited your account until it gets sorted out. However, if that had been the case you would have received details from paypal and you should still be able to log in to the home page purely so that you can sort out any problems. If bank funding did fail, and I;'m not sure that does fit the bill here, then yes you would be charged for each failed attempt to claim money.

First of all don't panic, log into ebay if you can and see if your ebay account looks ok. Change your password. If you can't log into ebay then contact live help - this is free and done online.
You'll talk real time to an ebay operative and tell them the problem.

You can read any e-mail without fear, providing you don't click on any attachments or accept any pop up boxes that may appear as a result of reading the e-mail.

    Found the paypal contact details: 0208 6053001 - option 1 customer services (08707 307 191)

It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

login direct to www.ebay.co.uk, do not go via the email.... foward the email to spoof@ebay.co.uk they will then deal with it
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
