in Credit cards
Hi.
Unsure where to put this but panicking so starting here.
I am with asda as the master card holder. My OH ( a named card holder ) was refused in sainsburys earlier with her credit card. So I phoned up asda and asked why? They could see anything so took the block back off. Then I had a chance to view my online statement..
Guess what, 2 transactions that were NOT her for sure. So I phoned asda and asked for a block to be reput on hers ( and mine )
How do I stand with this? Is there a liability? What implications does it hold for me? Will they ( asda ) just reissue new cards and pins?
Help.....scared!

You should contact ASDA if you've not already done so and query both transactions - either do it over the phone first of all and then if need be follow it up in writing (often the CC company will send you a pre-printed 'schedule' with the queried transactions on it for you to check and sign if correct - Egg do this). Usually the CC company will start their own investigations to determine if genuine or not at least before making a decision whether to refund you or not. You'd be better checking your terms and conditions to see what process you need to follow in the first instance as some companies have been known to try and wriggle out of paying out as holders didn't follow the minute letter of the T&C's. First off - I'd phone them and raise a query if you can (or whatever ASDA Finance call it) and take it from there.
The company may issue you with new cards (with new numbers) and new PIN's if requested.0
