Help! Car MOT & Road Tax

I was just finding the paperwork to renew my road tax and have found out my MOT runs out tomorrow. Any suggestions on places in Bracknell where I can get my car MOT'd quickly and cheaply.
Also if I don't manage to get it done by the end of tomorrow am I allowed a 'grace period' to get the car mot'd and taxed or am I likely to receive a fine shortly after for no road tax???

Any help or advice much appreciated :)
Looking to raise some money ;)

Wouldn't like to say, but don't leave it too long. A few days to a week maybe at most.

It's illegal to drive around with an expired MOT, unless you are on your way to a pre-booked MOT test appointment. So I should get that sorted PDQ.

As road tax always runs out at the end of a month, you need to sort that immediately after you get the MOT.
  • If you're worried and have access to off road parking then you can always fill in the SORN declaration on the tax and get the doen while you sort out the MOT then just tax ther car once the MOT is done, just had to do it myself as was about to go to do the MOT and found my car was broken and couldn't get it ot the test centre and they can't pick it up.

  • markyMark, for the area it is quite cheap... I have phoned around and I got quotes at 50 and 45 pounds

and dont get me started on man hours either! in the region of 55 pounds!

I know a local local who changed my brake pads (that I bought of uniparts) for 40 pounds while others would not even want to do it unless i was purchasing their outmargined parts or those who would do it were asking 50 to 60 pounds for the job!
