Looking for a good bank with good internet site

  • HSBC Online Banking is very good.

I agree - the HSBC system is extremely good.

It has to be the best one I've used.

Also, I've never had any difficulties with the company either. The call centre staff are all very helpful, although I tend to do most of transactions online.

The HSBC website also has a secure messaging facility so you can contact them about your account without using the phone. If I send a message to them in the morning, I always get a comprehensive reply by the afternoon (using from someone in India judging by their names).

Not being able to delete a payee is ridiculous. You should ditch and switch!

HSBC internet banking is top notch, but HSBC are terrible to bank with and it was literally a joy to close my account there - open an account with them at your peril!!

Not being able to delete a payee was my only gripe about the HSBC system until they changed it about a year ago or so.

I've been with the HSBC for 20+ years and I've not had any problems from them. I guess its just one of those things. There are some other companies that I would say are terrible; however someone else would say that they were great.

Once you decide, have a look on Quidco and TopCashBack etc to see if you can get anything for opening the account.
