The free book selling web site is really cool
But has your daughter also thought about advertising her book around the college?!
Sell direct to the year below (if its a text book) - they dont get an inflated price because of postage costs, you dont have to pay fees or risk losing out on money cus of postage - everybody wins!
nb. I sell loads of books on amazon - I usually pop down to the post office and weigh them first if they are really heavy to check its worth my while and estimate a price!

Yep, chances are your uni department might organise a book sale at the start of term (if not, and you know several people wanting to sell books, then why not group together to organise one?) Or alternatively they might have a small ads board (or an online version) somewhere, where you can put up a notice... or leave one lying around a lecture theatre before the year below have a lecture, or something. Set texts especially should be easy to sell for near enough the price you paid for them.
