Hi,
Just a question I cant seem to find an answer to,
MY wife finished work June 2007 after 6 months on Merternity Leave to look after our son, now with have a daughter too!!!:j
Its just HOW do I get my wife's P60 ? Now between April 2007 to March 2008 she only earned basic Child tax credit, Child benifet and merternity Pay, in which I have been told is non-taxable???
But our household income is just my wage which is £21,000
Is there anyway I can increase any benifit? or claim anything e.g surestart grant?
I will speak to the tax credit poeple in a few days, just want some advice first!
Thank you for any replies I recieve!
Regards

If you want to see a rainbow, you have to get used to the rain.

As you earn £21k you wont be eligible for the sure start grant, its for low income families.
Your wife should have had a P45 when she finished her job which will show her earnings etc for the tax year. CTC and Child Benefit are separate to P60 earnings. SSP is taxable IIRC.0 -
Are you getting ctc already?0
-
yeah getting CTC and CHB,
Its just that to tax credits our house old income is based still on when she was working, set at £40,000
now Household income is £21,000
how will this affect CTC?
How do I prove my wife's income from benifits, Merternity pay, CTC CBH??If you want to see a rainbow, you have to get used to the rain.0 -
Have you informed the tax credits people of your drop in income?
If you telephone them, they should be able to tell you your new entitlement and change your claim. I'm unsure if it will change much though, as you are on the borderline of the basic ctc element, I believe.
Your wife should have a p45 if she has stopped working.
I'm not sure why you want a p60 for her - has someone asked for it?0
