Help! I seemed to have wiped map of my Tom Tom

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I was trying to download a map for western europe on to my tom tom and during the course of downloading I seemed to have wiped everything on it:eek: Is this possible? The store where I brought it said I needed to get in touch with tom tom. Before I do this :o I was wondering if any of you lovely techie's could help me out somehow :confused:

    If you were downloading a new map then it shouldn't have wiped the existing maps. If you were interrupted while updating an existing map set then it may be in a state where you can no longer access the previous map version.

    Your best bet for a specific answer would be one of the TomTom specific forums such as the one here:

    Don't forget to say a bit more about what TomTom product and software version you have.

    Take a trip to pocket GPS world.
    They have lots of tips and friendly advice if you have lost a map and need assistance.

    You should have been using TomTom Home for the download if it was a legit download, it should have backed up your old setup before starting so just reconnect to the Home site and start again.

    I bought a Western Europe map from them for my One v2, and it has allowed me to download it more than once (to the same device).
