Mortage protection for climbers

Any climbers out there??
I have had my mortage for 3 years and was persuaded to take out the critical illness and death policies to protect the mortgage payments. I owned up to rock climbing, which caused the premium to skyrocket from the original quote.
I have tried doing price comparisions on the internet and have also rung for new quotes, but they don't ask anything about your lifestyle until the application stage.
I'm reluctant to fill in a lot of application forms only to find the policy is no cheaper than what I pay at the moment (£46.25 pcm). Are there any climbers out there that can recommend a policy?
Thanks,
Dan N

Ask an IFA or whole of market protection advisor. They can do the ringing round the underwriters to find out how it would be rated. Quote portals are only any good on clean applications.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
