The rules affecting catalogue debts have changed under the Consumer Credit Act 2006. If you take out your catalogue on or after 6 April 2007 the court can no longer automatically declare your agreement to be unenforceable, for example if there is no signed agreement. It is now up to the court to decide whether to allow the creditor to enforce the credit agreement or not. This will depend on a number of factors.

So if I took out a catalogue after April 6 2007 what happens if I can't pay?

    Many thanks
  • I have sent the letter formaly requesting a copy of my credit agreement along with a statement to these Debt Managers but they just keep bombarding me with threatening letters, i sent it RC so i know it has been delivered.
Can i take it these people are cowboys and just ignore them, has anybody else had expeariance with them.

    Thanks
