Credit Card charges - discrepancies? please help

Hi All,
I had two major credit cards to get charges back on. After succesfully reclaiming on the first I went on to request my statements for the next one. When I received the statements for the second card I was a bit bewildered, the charges as I remembered them for card 2 had always been higher than card 1, around £30 - £35 in comparison to card 1 which were between £20 - £25. The high cost of the charges on card 2 was the main reason I stopped using the card and kept it just for emergencies. The statement however for card 2 shows all charges as exactly £20 with no variation. I believe that this has been altered before it has been sent out to me but I have not used the card in about two years and so do not have any statements of my own to prove this. What should I do? Do I have to take this at face value and press on with the reclaim thinking I must have been misled all this time or has anyone else come across anything like this?
Please help
any advice would be welcomed
thanks
