Help - need brickwork repairs

I have leaking in the corner of my lounge and I'm sure it's due to the brickwork outside, there are some cracks in it and the pointing doesn't look too good - when it rains heavily the rain trickles through the fixing holes for my blinds in that corner and consequently the plaster is damp on the inside.
Can anyone recommend a builder, brickwork specialist etc around london/hertfordshire who could give me a quote? I contacted a structural/buildings engineer but he wanted £300 + VAT just to come and do a report on the cause of the problem.
I live in a flat and own part of the freehold, our service charge/insurance will cover the cost - but obviously I don't want to spend a fortune getting it sorted as it will push our costs up next year.

Was recommended this by my dad - they have approved traders for all areas of the country - waiting for a quote now - may not be cheap but at least the work is guaranteed.0 -
Can you get your buildings insurer to take a look and decide what is actually wrong? We had a problem last year and the insurance company sent an investigator before we spent any money - for free as well!0
