STUDENT HERE - Seeking advise.....

Hi there,
I'm 20 and been a student for 2.5 years now and when first starting out looking for the best student account I was never sucked in by the 'free-gift' scheme that alot of banks pushed. I used this site too find the bank that gave me the best overdraft limit for each year I was at uni (Halifax btw).
I'm now in my 3rd of 4 years and have limit of £2750 which, unfortunatley, I've been in and stayed in for a very long time. The limit has increased each year I've been at uni and YES I ADMIT IT I'VE HAVE BEEN A BIT SILLY WITH MONEY *slaps wrist*.
I've always worked while I've been at uni and currently hold a good position at a part time job which brings in at least £150 a week.
Now with that background the point of this thread is too ask.......Can I claim back bank charges without them turning round and telling me too F-off and close my account/re-pay my overdraft within 'X' amount of time or else?
Now you can throw all the student jibes at me all you want lol, but I know far more students in MUCH MUCH deeper doo-doo than me and I'm trying too do something about it.
I don't have any other savings and my only sources of income is said job, and my student loan which is £3175 a year which is minimum loan. After rent etc. I don't have much of that left.
Also, I'm not your typical 'get drunk all the time student'. Alot of my money goes on my car and THAT is where the biggest chunk of my money goes.
I know I haven't started out great with my handling of money but you have my situation and any advise would be greatly appreciated:D
Thanks in advance:cool:

They can close your account, Nationwide & Coop tend to do this often. However I reclaimed my charges from Halifax yesterday and they've increased my overdraft since!
Just in case they do, will the bank charges cover the overdraft?0
