Display Formulas in Excel?

How do you display the formulas in Excel? I used to know how to do this but I have forgotten, can anyone please help?

    CTRL + ` or whatever the key is to the left of 1 on the top line should do it.

    Great - I've used Excel for years and never seen that before. Works with OpenOffice spreadsheets as well!

    It's a fantastic shortcut to the deep option in: Tools menu > Options > View tab> Formulas (in the Window Options section)
