Cat pee damage to laminate flooring

One of my cats has sprayed on the outside of a glass panelled bedroom door. The ‘pee’ has run down and under the door, over the metal carpet to laminate strip thing. There is now a small area of laminate beginning to lift, what is the easiest/cheapest DIY [apart from skewering the cat] way to repair this? Can I just rub the lifting bit down and re-seal it with PVA? Any suggestions appreciated.

Laminate is just coated so you can't rub it down really. Do you have a spare piece you can replace it with?
You really need to try and get rid of the smell though as the cat will continue to spray in that area. If the laminate has absorbed the wee then you may not be able to do this easily and you can't over-wet the laminate.0 -
Laminate flooring has a plastic top coat and as adandem suggests, can't be sanded. You can put a new piece in but this means taking much of the floor out to extract the offending piece and then relaying! I would suggest to my customers that this may be subject to an insurance claim as it could be classed as "escape of water" Then the whole of the floor would be replaced.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
